A2C Exams Update (Exams improvements, UPDATED)

As a result of the feedback received following A2C results day imports last year, our team has been working diligently to improve the integrated A2C process. The standalone A2C app is not affected.

Here's what we've done to enhance reliability and performance:

Enhanced Testing Environments

Our development and QA teams have had access to more robust testing environments, allowing for more comprehensive and reliable testing of the A2C process, in advance of the results days

Real-Time Monitoring

A new monitoring dashboard enables us to track the performance of the service in real time, down to individual schools, exam boards, or specific files. Our team will be closely monitoring these on results days to quickly & proactively address any issues, should they occur.

New Exams Background Service

We’ve launched an improved Exams Background Service to make the exam results process more seamless. On A-Level and GCSE results days, files will be automatically downloaded to your school’s MIS system, ready for import with no manual steps required.

What You Need to Do

1. Disable the standalone A2C Application (if applicable)
If you've previously downloaded the standalone A2C application, please disable it before switching to the integrated solution.

2. Configure Your A2C Settings in Bromcom
Ensure your MIS is set up to use the A2C integration service. If the service is already in use, we advise that you check all the connections. Please follow the guide below.

3. Import Your Files
When you log in, you’ll be notified via a pop-up message if exam result files have been successfully downloaded. To be able to see this pop-up, the user needs to have the Manage Results permission under the Exams module. To complete the import, go to Manage Results > Import Results, where the files will be waiting.

What If Files Aren’t There?

Downloads will start from midnight and multiple attempts will be made at scheduled intervals throughout the morning to capture the latest files released from each exams board. You can also manually trigger the process if needed. Please make sure the integration is properly configured. If problems persist, our support team will be ready to assist from 7am on both import days.Â
